Dear Members & Friends,

It is hard to imagine another year has gone by….certainly the cliché “where does
the time go” rings true.

We have had an amazing year the past twelve months as the Tabor Family! The
year ahead promises to be even better!Plans are well under way for Workcamp
2012 which will take place July 22 – 28. We are half way towards our goal of
raising $19,000.00 to buy the needed supplies for the camp. We do need more
people to be involved especially as the camp date approaches. The camp will be
housed in the North Branford Intermediate School. We had an excellent meeting
with the superintendent of North Branford schools, the facilities manager, and a
representative from Group in Colorado.

Your church leaders are also busy compiling the information gathered from the
Stewardship Focus groups held in November. We will be sharing those results
with you in the months ahead as we make plans for our ministry together.
December was a special month as we had our usual Advent programs. The
“Seniors Serving Seniors Swedish Smorgasbord” was well attended with over 60
people. The food was great and the fellowship was even better. I kept hearing
comments about “how much fun this is” and “where did you get this food?” My
thanks to everyone who worked very hard to make the event a success. Caroling to
our homebound members was also a great experience. Over 30 members traveled
around on a beautiful Sunday afternoon bringing good cheer to our older members
and also homemade cookies baked by the Junior Youth Group.

The coming months also promise fun times when we have the Fiesta Night, January
21, TaborFest, February 4, and the Swedish Meatball Diner the end of March.
April will also be a busy time with First Communion celebration, Passion Sunday,
Holy Week, and Easter worship services. The next Seniors Serving Seniors event
will be a Maundy Thursday luncheon.

The Spirit is clearly alive at Tabor Church. Make plans to take part in all of these
events, but, most importantly, plan to worship regularly on Sunday mornings when
we offer our thanks and praise to God and are spiritually fed, refreshed, and renewed.

Peace,  Pastor Myers
