Dear Members & Friends,

I enjoy home renovation projects and working in the garden. I guess that is why I derive so much fun out of attending Workcamp. This summer I will be taking our youth to Canton, OH for my 18th camp. Thank you for your support in making this important youth event a reality all of these years.

I have also been working in the lawn and gardens at the parsonage. I find this activity very satisfying. Speaking of gardens, we desperately need a few volun-teers to clean up the flower beds on the church property. Please contact me if you are able to help out.

Building and gardening are also tasks of the church as it relates to people. These are duties that go beyond the job description of a pastor. Each of you should be involved as well! When was the last time you invited a friend to come to worship with you? A primary task of every Christian is to invite people to church. In fact, Jesus’ last words to his disciples in the Gospel of Matthew were: "Go into the world and make disciples. Baptize and teach them….."

Tabor must always keep this mission directive at the forefront of our ministry. We may have a multitude of programs and many wonderful things going on throughout the year, but our main task must always be to make disciples.

The next two months will be very busy for me as I take our youth to Confirma-tion Camp and Workcamp. I will be involved with the Urban Day Camp in New Haven for the first time. Our final fundraiser, the Branford Festival, also takes much of my attention in the days leading up to the festival, Father’s Day Weekend. June is also a busy time with the New England Synod Assembly and Tabor’s Annual Meeting.

I hope you have a wonderful summer. Remember that life goes on daily at your church. Take a moment now to think of a way that you can help "build & grow" at your church. If you need a few suggestions, give me a call or drop me an email. th camp. Thank you for your support in making this important youth event a reality all of these years.

Peace, Pastor Myers
