Camp Calumet has been offering fun-fortified, friend-focused, faith-filled youth programs for 55 years. A time at camp -- whether it's for a weekend away with others from youth group, an extended stay with the confirmation class, a week-long trip for Winter Camp, or participating in Calumet's transformational Resident Camp for Kids -- matters. Adam Fales, Calumet's Director for Youth Programs, plans each retreat experience, identifies the best staff possible, and leads the assembled group ensuring a camp visit that truly has an impact on lives.
Many of our youth love it so much they spent years going to resident camp in the summer and when they were old enough, they decided to become counselors there for the summer and some have even become lifeguards. There is more than we can explain in the pages of our website. Whether you are looking for a retreat for the youth or a family vacation for your family, Calumet is the perfect place! Every summer, our senior youth have the opportunity to participate in a week long Workcamp. At Workcamps, teenagers come together to serve individuals and communities while building strong, long-lasting relationships with their friends and youth leaders. In six short days, hundreds of teenagers from youth groups across the country repair and transform homes while growing closer to Jesus. Since their beginnings, more than 450,000 people have participated in a Group Mission Trips experience—logging more than 13 million volunteer hours. These participants have gained a new understanding and deeper faith in Jesus by serving others. The mission opportunities keep growing and continue to help teenagers from all different Christian denominations grow closer to Jesus and take on the challenge of service by helping people in need.
